Newpark Medical Centre has been a mixed billing practice since 1st March 2022.
Bulk Billing Eligibility:
Patients with a valid Pension Card or Health Care Card, and children under 16 years of age, will continue to be bulk billed.

ACCOUNTS
- All procedures done at the Medical Centre carry an out-of-pocket expense. Please check with receptionist or see the display at Reception area.
- Bulk billing is available for eligible patients as outlined above.
- All other consultations and services must be paid in full on the day of consultation, failure to do so may result in removal from the practice list.
- We accept cash, EFTPOS and most major credit cards.
- If you are experiencing financial hardship, please discuss this with your doctor at the time of your consultation.
- Outstanding accounts may be subject to follow-up and additional fees if not finalised within a reasonable timeframe.
TELEPHONE CALLS
Reception staff can assist with most enquiries. If you need to speak with your doctor, a message will be taken and your doctor will return your call when available.
REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
Repeat prescriptions require a consultation with your doctor and will not be issued without an appointment, phone orders are not permitted.
REFERRALS TO SPECIALISTS
If your doctor determines that specialist care is required, a referral will be provided. Please ensure you have an appointment to discuss your condition and appropriate management.
RECALLS & REMINDERS
Our practice provides a recall and reminder system for preventative care, screening, and follow-up. This is automatically provided unless you advise us otherwise.
MEDICAL CERTIFICATES
Medical certificates are legal documents and require a consultation with your doctor. Backdating certificates is not permitted.
RESULTS
Patients are required to attend a follow-up appointment to discuss any abnormal results.
Normal results and INR results may be obtained through our nursing team.
